Title: Study on relationship between expressions of Livin protein and apoptosis related protein Bcl-2 and lung cancer
Abstract: Objective
To explore the relationship between the abnormal expressions of Livin protein and apoptosis related protein Bcl-2 and lung cancer.
Methods
The clinical data of patients with lung cancer treated in our hospital from June 2014 to August 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. At the same time, the data of non lung cancer patients confirmed by pathological examination were selected as control. The expressions of Livin protein and apoptosis related protein Bcl-2 in two groups were compared. The expressions of Livin protein and apoptosis related protein Bcl-2 in lung cancer patients with different clinical and pathological features were compared. The factors affecting the expression rate of Livin and Bcl-2 in lung cancer patients were analyzed.
Results
The positive expression rates of Livin and Bcl-2 in lung cancer group were 61.11%, 65.56%, which were higher than those in control group (χ2=110.604, 112.855, all P<0.001). The expressions of Livin and Bcl-2 in lung cancer patients with stage Ⅲ+ Ⅳ, lymph node metastasis, squamous cell carcinoma, low differentiation and tumor size greater than 3 cm were higher. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that lymph node metastasis, TNM stage and histological type were the influencing factors of the positive expression rate of Livin and Bcl-2 in lung cancer patients.Correlation analysis showed that the positive expression rate of Bcl-2 was positively correlated with that of Livin protein in lung cancer patients (r=0.521, P<0.001).
Conclusions
The positive expression rates of Livin and Bcl-2 in lung cancer patients are higher, and they are closely related to the lymph node metastasis, TNM stage and histological type.
