Title: The Expression of VEGF in Lymphoma and Its Relationship with MVD
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the relationship between the expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor(VEGF)and microvessels density(MVD)in Lymphoma. Methods:Immunohistochemical assay was performed with a SP kit to test the VEGF and microvessel density in lymphoma and normal lymphatic tissue.Results:(1)In lymphoma VEGF and MVD was significantly higher than control group (P0.01);(2)VEGF was expressed in the outer band of lymph node, and was observed in the cytoplasm of tumor cells and their surrounding cells,as well as in the surrounding of microvessels and endothelials;(3)VEGF expression was correlated with MVD in NHL(P0.01).Conclusion:VEGF and MVD is increased in lymphoma;VEGF is involved in the induction of the angiogenesis of lymphoma, which is secreted by tumor cells and surrounding cells;VEGF has a positive correlation with microvessel density in NHL.
