Title: Effect of Community Practice on the Course of Health Education
Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of community practice on the course of health education,and to provide information for teaching method reform.Methods Totally 95 nursing students were randomized into a control class(47 students) and an experimental class(48 students).The control class were given traditional practice teaching according to teaching plans for 8 class hours,while the experimental class adopted community practice on weekends for 24 weeks,including creating poster about health education,dispensing materials for health knowledg,providing counselling,giving physical examination and conducting surveys.Results The result of health education examination and self-evaluation of comprehensive ability in the experimental class were significantly better than those in the control class(P0.01 for both);93.75%-100% of students in the experimental class considered that community practice could improve their skills of giving health education and improve comprehensive ability.Conclusion Community practice can promote the teaching effect of health education and students' ability.
