Title: Application of working-process-oriented teaching method to Community Nursing for higher vocational education
Abstract: Objective To improve the students' nursing skills in the simulated community post and their vocational abilities.Methods The working-process-oriented teaching method was adopted in the teaching of Community Nursing among 30 nursing students enrolling in 2007 in the experimental group,and traditional teaching method was adopted among 31 students enrolling in 2006 in the control group.The nursing skills and exam scores were analyzed.Results The scores of final exam and nursing skills in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P0.01).In the experimental group,90.0% students considered that working-process-oriented teaching method was beneficial to cultivating humanities concern consciousness and improving teamwork skills.Conclusions Working-process-oriented teaching method contributes to combination of theory and practice,and it can improve students' comprehensive quality.
