Title: Design and implementation of community health promotion practice teaching at campus
Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of community health promotion practice teaching for undergraduate nursing students at campus.Methods In the course of Community Nursing,health promotion practice teaching was conducted at campus among undergraduate nursing students enrolling in 2008.The participants' satisfaction with the activity was investigated with a self-designed questionnaire.The nursing students' practice performance and their reflective reports were analyzed.Results The average score of the students' practice performance was 91.5.The satisfactory rate of health promotion participation was 100 percent.More than 80 percent of the nursing students thought that the practice activities improved their abilities in practicing,innovation and team-working,and enhanced their professional value self-identification.Conclusion Community health promotion practice activities at campus can improve nursing students' practical abilities in health promotion and their comprehensive abilities.
