Abstract:Objective:To investigate the expression and significance of AKT2 protein in human pancreatic carcinoma.Methods:Expressions of AKT2 protein were measured by using SABC immunohistochemical staining in s...Objective:To investigate the expression and significance of AKT2 protein in human pancreatic carcinoma.Methods:Expressions of AKT2 protein were measured by using SABC immunohistochemical staining in specimens of 63 cases of pancreatic carcinoma and 23 cases of benign pancreatic diseases.The relationship between AKT2 expressions and clinicopathological factors in pancreatic carcinoma was also analyzed.Results:The positive expression rate of AKT2(39.7%) in pancreatic carcinoma as significantly higher than that in benign pancreatic diseases(13%),P 0.05.The expression level of AKT2 protein in panatic carcinoma showed an obvious difference in different histological grade,lymph node metastasis,and TNM stage(P 0.05,respectiv-ely).Conclusion:Overexpression of AKT2 is found in pancreatic carcinoma.AKT2 protein may play an important role in the tumorigenesis and tumor progression in pancreatic cancer.Read More
