The first injection was given I.V. right after the irradiation. The second injection was given at the 3rd day after irradiation intraperitoneally. As compared with the untreated control animals the regeneration of the bone marrow was more rapidly, which was observed qualitative histological as well as quantitative cytological. The initial phase of damage was not changed. Already at the 3rd day after irradiation the first signs of regeneration were observed. A complete restitution wag found after 14 days as compared with 21 days in the untreated control animals. The increased regeneration of the bone marrow by spleen homogenate is most significant in the erythropoesis, less marked in the myelopoesis. (auth)Read More
