Title: Identification of co-infection of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus strains with different gene deletion in Nsp2 site.
Abstract: Two different fragments(HW1 and HW2) were amplified by RT-PCR from lung and lymph node of pigs infected suspectably with PRRSV.Sequence analysis indicated that both HW1 and HW2 were originated from PRRSV strains,HW2 was 1 062 bp and deleted 90 bp compared with the Nsp2 gene of classical PRRSV strains, and HW1 was 975 bp and deleted 177 bp.The HW1 shared 98.2% homology with HW2 at nucleotide level and 96.6% at amino acid level respectively. The results showed that co-infection of PRRSV strains with different gene deletion in Nsp2 gene site occurred in the infected pigs.
