Title: Assessment of Low-field MR DWI and FLAIR in the diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction
Abstract: Objective: To determine the value of low-field magnetic resonance fluid-attenuated inversion-recovery(FLAIR) technique and diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)technique in the diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction. Methods: Eighty-two patients with cerebral infarction, including 40cases in acute stage,29 cases in subacute stage,13cases in chronic stage, underwent routine MR examination through T1WI,T2WI,FLAIR,DWI scan to detect the scope of lesions, border and contrast. Results: Of the detection of the scope of lesions,FLAIR and DWI were better than routine T1WI,T2WI,especially the DWI.Conclusion: FLAIR and DWI techniques are better than T2WI in the diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction;DWI technique has higher sensitivity in the diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction, and may undergo quantitative evaluation of acute cerebral infarction.
