Abstract:The forming process of a warm extrusion concave die about the drilling bit shell was simulated numerically with contact analysis modules in ANSYS.According to several friction coefficients,the whole e...The forming process of a warm extrusion concave die about the drilling bit shell was simulated numerically with contact analysis modules in ANSYS.According to several friction coefficients,the whole equivalent stress field of the die,the equivalent stress status of the die on different profiles and different surfaces,and the shearing strength of the die were studied with hypothesis of large deflection elastic-plastic FEM while and semi-flexible to flexible contact about surface to surface contact style.The results show that the dangerous working regions in the die are found near the convexity of molding vent groove,and the appropriate friction coefficient range between the die and the billet is from 0.10 to 0.15 during extrusion.Considering the scene of production,the extrusion die and the extrusion process were improved.Read More
