Title: Effect of Intestines-purging and Blood-activating Therapy on Coagulation Disorder in Sepsis Patients
Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of intestines-purging and blood-activating therapy on coagulation disorder in sepsis patients. Methods Sixty sepsis patients were equally randomized into two groups: the control group received routine western medicine, and the treatment group received modified Taohe Chengqi Decoction besides the western medicine, and the treatment lasted 7 days. The fatality rate was examined after treatment, and the score of Acute Physiological and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ(APACHEⅡ),the platelet count and D-dimer level were examined before treatment,on the 1st,3rd and 7th day after treatment.Results(1) In the control group,3 patients were dead, and the fatality rate was 10.00%;in the treatment group,2 were dead and the fatality rate was 6.67%,the difference being insignificant between the two groups(P0.05).(2) After treatment for 7 days,APACHEⅡ score was decreased in the two groups(P0.01 compared with that before treatment),and the decrease of APACHEⅡ score was obvious in the treatment group(P0.05).(3) The platelet count in the two groups was enhanced(P0.01 compared with that before treatment),and the increase in the treatment group was obvious(P0.05).(4) After treatment for 3 days, the D-dimer level was decreased in the two groups(P0.05 or P0.01 compared with that before treatment),and the decrease was obvious in the treatment group(P0.05);after treatment for 7 days, the D-dimer level went on decreasing in the two groups(P0.01 compared with that before treatment),in particular in the treatment group(P0.01 compared with that in the control group). Conclusion Intestines-purging and blood-activating therapy has certain effect on improving the coagulation function of sepsis patients.
