Title: Effects of urokinase in small dose on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Abstract: AIM To study the effects and safety of urokinase in small dose on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.METHODS Eighty patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at acute exacerbation period were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,40 patients each group. The two groups were conventional treated by oxygen inhalation 2 L·min~(-1),anti-infection,relieving spasm, preventing asthma and eliminating phlegm.Besides, the treatment group treated with intravenous drip of urokinase 100 000 U added into sodium chloride injection 100 mL in 30 min, once per day,for 10 days. The blood gas analysis, clinical efficacy and hemorrheology indexes variation before and after the treatment as well as the adverse reactions of the two groups were observed.RESULTS The control group showed no significant improvement(P0.05),and the whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, whole blood reduced viscosity and fibrinogen in the treatment group were decreased significantly(P0.01) with significant differences between the two groups after the treatment(P0.01).There were no significant differences between the two groups in blood gas analysis indexes before the treatment(P0.05).After the treatment,p_aCO_2 reduced and p_aO_2 increased in the two groups(P0.01 ),and there were significant differences between the two groups after the treatment(P0.01).The total effectiveness of the control group was 65%and that of the trealment group was 85%with significant difference between them(P0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups during the treatment.CONCLUSION Small dose of urokinase has belter effection in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at acute exacerbations period, and with no obvious adverse reactions.
