Title: Study on coronary artery characteristics in patients with coronary heart disease compliated with diabetes angiography
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the coronary characteristics in patients with coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes. Methods The data of patients with chest pain or consideration of coronary revascularization of our hospital were retrospectively collected. There were 252 patients with at least one artery showing stenosis more than 50%.They were divided into two groups,DM group including patients with coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes mellitus,non-DM group including patients with coronary heart disease without diabetes.Blood pressure, cholesterol, ejection fraction, glycmia were measured. The severity of coronary artery stenos was evaluated by the classified standards of AHA(1975). Results The incidence rate of hypertension, hyperlipidemia in the DM group was higher than that in non-DM group, and the ratio of female patients was higher in DM group(P0.05).The coronary multivessel changes, the severity of coronary artery stenosis, the complete blocked disease were significantly increased in DM group than those in non-DM group(P0.05). Conclusions The occurrence of multivessels changes and the complete blocked disease is more frequent in DM group than that in the non-DM group.Diabetes mellitus is an independent risk factor for CHD.
