Title: Expressions of hnRNP K and Hugl-1 proteins in transitional cell carcinoma of bladder and their clinical significance
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expressions of hnRNP K and Hugl-1 proteins in bladder carcinoma and their clinical significance. Methods HnRNP K and Hugl-1 protein expressions of 68 bladder carcinoma and 38 normal bladder tissues were assayed by immunohistochemistry. Results The expression level of Hugl-1 was found to be significantly lower while hnRNP K was significantly higher in bladder carcinoma tissues than in normal bladder tissues(P0.05),The expression levels of Hugl-1 and hnRNP K were closely related to bladder carcinoma's stages and classification of pathology(P0.05),and the expression level of Hugl-1 was significantly related to metastasis of bladder carcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion Low expression of Hugl-1 and high expression of hnRNP K in bladder carcinoma may affect cell hyperplasia, and may be related to the pathogenesis and development of transitional cell carcinoma of bladder.
