Abstract:Objective To observe the surgical results of non phacoemulsification small incision cataract extraction and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in high myopia with cataract.Methods 49 cases (56 eyes) ...Objective To observe the surgical results of non phacoemulsification small incision cataract extraction and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in high myopia with cataract.Methods 49 cases (56 eyes) of cataract with ocular axis longer than 26 mm received non phacoemulsification small incision cataract extraction and IOLs implantation.Results 1 month after surgery,visual acuity was 0.5 or better than 0.5 in 30 eyes(53.57%),corrected vision was ≥0.5 in 35 eyes (62.5%).Operative complications included posterior capsule rupture in 2 eyes (3.57%),corneal edema in 4 eyes (7.14%),cystoid macular edema in 1 eye (1.78%), retinal detachment in 1 eye(1.78%).Conclusion Non phacoemulsification small incision cataract extraction and IOL implantation is suitable for high myopia with cataract.Read More
