Title: Determination of baicalin, chlorogenic acid, and forsythoside A in Bingdu Mixture by HPLC
Abstract: Objective To establish an HPLC method for the determination of baicalin, chlorogenic acid, and forsythoside A in Bingdu Mixture. Methods HPLC was carried out on a Shim pack VP-ODS column(150 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) with 0.5% phosphoric acid- acetonitrile as mobile phase for gradient elution. The detection wavelength was set at 300 nm. The injection volume was 10 μL at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. Results The liner ranges of baicalin, chlorogenic acid, and forsythoside A were 9.84 — 82 μg/mL(r = 0.999 8), 2.64 — 22.0 μg/mL(r = 0.999 9) and 4.32 — 36.0 μg/mL(r = 0.999 9); The average recoveries were 99.94%, 101.1%, and 99.77%, with RSD values of 1.44%, 1.68%, and 1.44%(n = 6), respectively. Conclusion The established method is simple, accurate, and reproducible and could be used for the quality control of Bingdu Mixture.
