Abstract:Objectives:To observe the protein expression of C-erbB-2,ER and PR in human breast cancer and to explore their interrelationship.Methods:The expression of C-erbB-2,ER and PR were detected in formalin-...Objectives:To observe the protein expression of C-erbB-2,ER and PR in human breast cancer and to explore their interrelationship.Methods:The expression of C-erbB-2,ER and PR were detected in formalin-fixed、paraffin-embeded tissues from 62 breast cancer patients by immunohistochemistry.Results of detection were analyzed statistically.Results:(1)Positive rates of C-erbB-2,ER and PR expression were 67.8%(42/62)、45.2%(28/62)and 48.4%(30/62) respectively.(2)No relation could be established between expression of ER or PR and clinicopathological parameters,but the expression of C-erbB-2 had a positive correlation with axilla lymphatic metastasis significantly(P0.05).(3)The positive rate of C-erbB-2 expression in both ER(+) and PR(+) breast cancer tissues was apparently lower than that in both ER(-) and PR(-) tissues(P0.05).(4)The expression of both C-erbB-2(+) and ER(-) was related to axilla lymph node metastasis obviously,and there was significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:Expression of C-erbB-2 has a reverse correlation with the simultaneous expression of ER and PR. Axilla lymphatic metastasis can be found in patients with C-erbB-2(+) or with C-erbB-2(+) and ER(-),whose prognoses may be worse.Read More
