Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and significance of C-erbB-2,nm23 protein,estrogen receptor(ER) and progestogen receptor(PR) in breast carcinoma.Methods 54 cases of surgical specimens from inf...Objective To investigate the expression and significance of C-erbB-2,nm23 protein,estrogen receptor(ER) and progestogen receptor(PR) in breast carcinoma.Methods 54 cases of surgical specimens from infiltrating breast cancer were investigated by SP immunohistochemical staining for C-erbB-2 oncogene,nm23 gene protein,ER and PR.Results 1) The positive rate of C-erbB-2 was 48.1%,which was positively correlated with histolgical grade and lymph node metastasis(P0.05),but that did not relate to histological types,clinical staging,tumor size,age and metastasis.2) The positive rate of nm23 was 79.6%,which was negatively correlated with clinical staging and lymph node metastasis(P0.05),but did not relate to histological types,histological types,tumor size and age.3) The expression of C-erbB-2 was negatively correlated with ER expression,but did not relate to PR.The expression of nm23 was not correlated with ER and PR respectively,but the expresion of nm23 was negatively correlated with C-erbB-2 expression.Conclusion The expression of C-erbB-2,nm23,ER and PR in breast cancer cells reflects molecular biological features of the breast carcinoma.Read More
