Title: Expression of p16 protein, PCNA and CD44V6 in breast cancer: Associated with lymph nodes metastasis and prognosis
Abstract: Objective:To study the expression of p16 protein, PCNA and CD44V6 in breast cancer ,and the relationship between them and lymph nodes metastases and prognosis. Methods:ABC immunohistochemistry method was used in 90 cases of primary breast cancer and lymph nodes metastases. Results:Compared with non-metastatic group, the expression of p16 protein was significantly lower in metastatic group(P=0.003); to the contrary, the expression of PCNA was higher in metastatic group(P=0.026).The expression percentage of CD44V6 was related to survival time(P=0.035). Conclusion:Proliferation ability of breast cancer cells correlated to their metastatic ability. Expression percentage of CD44V6 could be looked as one of the prognostic factor of breast cancer.
