Title: Comment and Analysis of Outpatient Prescriptions
Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To probe into the problems existing in the outpatient prescriptions through comment and analysis of the outpatient prescriptions so as to improve rational drug use level in the outpatient department of Yulin Red Cross Hospital.METHODS: A total of 2 400 outpatient prescriptions from May 2010 to April 2011 in our hospital were analyzed statistically.RESULTS: Of the 2 400 prescriptions reviewed,2 297(95.71%) were reasonable,and 103(4.29%) were unreasonable in which 36 were nonstandard in drug use,34 inappropriate in drug use and 33 had off-label use.An average of 4.58 drugs was used per patient.29.35% of the prescriptions prescribed antibiotics,16.87% injections,and 100.00% prescribed drugs in generic names.National essential drugs accounted for 65.38% of all the prescribed drugs.The average drug cost was 168.72 Yuan per patient.CONCLUSION: The outpatient drug use was rational basically yet it remains to be improved further.
