Title: Evaluating outpatient prescriptions and analyzing the rationality of drug administration under new situation in this hospital
Abstract: Objective To investigate the writing quality and drug usage information in outpatient prescriptions and raise the level of rational drug use in this hospital.Methods A total of 14190 prescriptions from January to June 2010(two days of each month) were randomly checked and the results were analyzed according to The Administrative Standard of Evaluating Hospital Prescriptions (for trial implementation).Results The mean consumption per prescription was 15131 yuan and the mean variety of drug used amounted to 243;the utilization rates of injections,traditional Chinese medicine injections,blood products and antibiotics were 14. 83%,1.72%,0.58%,and 19.89%respectively;the number of irrational prescriptions was 2082 which accounts for 14.67%of total. The most common problem was irrational prescriptions which reached a proportion of 67.39%.Conclusions We need remains to further improve the quality of outpatient prescriptions,strengthen the evaluation of outpatient prescriptions and keep the rational and safe use of drugs in our hospital.
