Title: The microvacular decompression of senile trigeminal neuralgia(report of 185 cases)
Abstract: Objective To explore the effectieness of microvscular decompression of trigeminal neuralgia.Methods 185 patients who had no effect with the nonoperative treatments carry out microvascular decompression.Results The effective treatmnet was 95.1%,with 85.9%immediately complete cure and 9.2%with significant relieve of symptom.Follow-up was made in 127 efeective cases for 3-96 months with an average of 37 months.8 cases recurred within 4 years after operation with recurrent rate of 6.2%.Conclusion The safety and effectiveness of microvascular decompression is related to the expierence and tecnique of the operator.
