Title: The protective effect of PGE and glyceryltrinitrate perfsuion on the isolated lung
Abstract: Objective To investigate the protective effect of PEG1 and glyceryltrinitrate perfusion on the isolated lung. Methods Eighteen rabbits were randomly divided into 3 groups with 6 rabbits each. After the isolated lung model was established, the rabbits in group A were perfused with low temperature(4℃)UW solution as the control, the rabbits in group B and C with glyceryltrinitrate and DGE instead of UW,respectively. The lung specimens were obtained for analyzing morphologically at 2 and 4 hours after perfusion. The measurements included the ratio of wet/dry of weight(W/D),airway pressure(Paw)of the lung model and gas analysis of the left atrial blood at 4 hours of perfusion. Results The protective effects on the function of the lung tissue gas exchange and the moisture capacity of group C were better than those of group A and B significantly. The protective effect of group B on Paw,moisture capacity and the function of lung tissue gas exchange was better than that of group A.Conclusion Perfusion of the isolated lung with PGE1 can get longer time of preservation and better preservation of the function of lung tissue gas exchange than that with glyceryltrinitrate or UW solution.
