Title: Effect of individual rehabilitation on the efficacy of rehabilitation in hospitalized patients with schizophrenia
Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of individual rehabilitation on the efficacy of rehabilitation in hospitalized patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 98 hospitalized patients with schizophrenia were enrolled in this study. All the subjects were divided into a study group and a control group. The control group received routine treatment; while the study group received individual rehabilitation in addition to the routine treatment. The scores on the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Functional Independence Measure (FIM) were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results As compared with the baselines, the total and the negative scores on the PANSS were significantly decreased, and the FIM scores were significantly higher in both groups (P<0.05).As compared with the controls, the scores on the total score (44.18 ± 1.96) points and the negative score (14.74 ± 1.83) points on the PANSS were significantly decreased, and the FIM scores (113.26 ± 9.12) points were significantly higher in the study group (P<0.05).Conclusions For the hospitalized patients with schizophrenia, individual rehabilitation in addition to routine treatment has a better curative effect,so it is worth popularizing clinically.
