Title: Influence of occupational therapy on rehabilitation effect of schizophrenic patients in community
Abstract: Objective: To explore influence of occupational therapy on rehabilitation effect of schizophrenic patients in community. Methods: 60 schizophrenic patients in community were collected and randomly divided into research group and control group,control group received routine community rehabilitation,whereas research group received the relevant occupational therapy based on the routine community rehabilitation. All the patients were assessed by using clinical global impression scale( CGI),drug attitude inventory( DAI),and activity of daily living scale( ADL) before and after the intervention. Results: After the treatment,the reducing score rate of disease severity in CGI and improvement of the overall score of research group were higher than those of control group,and the differences were statistically significant. DAI scores of research group after the treatment were higher than those before the treatment,while ADL scores were lower than those before the treatment,and the differences were statistically significant. Moreover,the differences of DAI and ADL scores between the two groups were statistically significant. Conclusions: The occupational therapy for schizophrenic patients in community can improve their mental symptoms,medication adherence,and daily life ability.
