Title: Multi-wavelength HPLC simultaneous determination of three effective ingredients in Xiaozhong Zhitong tincture
Abstract: Objective:To establish an HPLC with multi-wavelength detection method for simultaneous determination of geniposide,paeonol and camphor in Xiaozhong Zhitong tincture,and the quality of the tincture produced in different date was investigated using this developed method.Methods:The samples were separated on a Waters SunFire C18(4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm) column,by a gradient elution using methanol(A) and water(B) as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1 at 30 ℃;The eluate was detected by multiple wavelength:238 nm for geniposide(0-14 min),274 nm for paeonol(15-32 min),288 nm for camphor(33-60 min).Results:The complete separation was obtained within 60 min for the three compounds(geniposide,paeonol and camphor);Three regression equations showing linear relationships between peak-area and content of each compound were obtained.The average recoveries(n=6) of the three compounds were 100.9%(RSD=0.6%),100.2%(RSD=1.4%),100.6%(RSD=1.0%),respectively.Conclusion:This method is simple,accurate,and provides a reliable detection methods for valid control of the product quality and improvement of quality standard.
