Title: Ulinastatin for injection in treating acute pancreatitis
Abstract: AIM: To observe the efficacy of ulinastatin in treating acute pancreatitis. METHODS: Six-four patients with acute pancreatitis were divided into two groups. The treatment group of 32 patients (M21, F11; age(48±s 18) a) received ulinastatin 300 kU in sodium chloride injection 250 mL, iv, gtt, qd. The control group of 32 patients (M20, F12; age(47±17) a) received octreotide 0.1 mg,sc,q12 h. The other therapeutic methods in two groups were similar. RESULTS: In therapy d 4, the curative effect of treatment group was superior to that of control group (P0.05). And in d 8, the effect was similar between the two groups (P0.05). In therapy d 4 and d 8, the amylase levels of blood and urine decreased significantly in both groups. The white blood cell count of treatment group decreased (6.3±2.3)×109·L -1and( 10.3±2.2)×109·L -1, andthose in the control group decreased(5.3±1.1)×109·L -1 and(7.3±1.2)×109·L -1(P0.05,P 0.01). There were rare adverse reactions in both groups during the treatment. CONCLUSION: The ulinastatin is effective and safe in treating acute pancreatitis.
