Title: Efficacy of somatostatin combined with Ulinastatin for treatment of patients with severe acute pancreatitis
Abstract: Objective To study the clinical efficacy of somatostatin combined with Ulinastatin for treatment of patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Methods 98 patients with severe acute pancreatitis were randomly divided into two groups, each group for 49 cases, the control group was treated by conventional therapy and adding somatostatin, the observation group was treated by the basis of the control group and adding Ulinastatin, and then the clinical efficacy would be compared and analyzed. Results After 14 days, the total effective rate of the observation group was 93.88%,and the control group was 77.55%,there was statistically significant difference between them. The albumin, white blood cell(WBC),hemodiastase,APACHE-Ⅱ score in the two groups were all changed a lot,and the observation group was better, there was statistically significant difference between two groups. The incidence of the multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS) in the observation group was lower than before and the control group, hospital day, complication and fatality rate were all better than the control group, there was statistically significant difference. Conclusion The mortality and morbidity of acute severe pancreatitis are higher.Somatostatin combined with Ulinastatin can accelerate the recovery and reduce the complications via attenuating inflammation in the patients, which needs further study in clinical practices.
