Abstract:AIM To establish an HPLC fingerprint of Euryales Semen collected from fourteen habitats,and to make evaluation by principal component analysis(PCA) and cluster analysis(CA).METHODS HPLC analysis of 70...AIM To establish an HPLC fingerprint of Euryales Semen collected from fourteen habitats,and to make evaluation by principal component analysis(PCA) and cluster analysis(CA).METHODS HPLC analysis of 70% methanol extract of Euryales Semen was carried out by Hypersil ODS column(4.6 mm ×200 mm,5 μm) with mobile phase of acetonitrile-1% acetic acid system in gradient elution mode with a flow at 1.0 mL/min,an ultraviolet detection wavelength at 273 nm for fingerprint and column temperature at 30 ℃.RESULTS Seventeen common peaks were identified in chromatograms with reference to naringenin peak from the 14 batches of the samples.Three main peaks were obtained and all the peaks were classified into five categories.CONCLUSIONThe method of the HPLC fingerprint and quantitative analysis established by PCA-CA can be used for the classification of Euryales Semen from different habitats and has the characteristic of rapidness and stability.Read More
