Abstract: OBJECTIVE To search the risk factors of fungal hospital infection, make the control measures and reduce the incidence. METHODS Data on reported cases with hospital infection were collected and retrospectively analyzed from Jan 2004 to Dec 2008. RESULTS Forty-six cases with hospital infection were reported. Urinary tract was the main infection site. The majority of cases were distributed in internal medicine. The number of male patients was more than that of female cases. Most of patients were above 60 years. Hospital day in 78.3% cases was more than 20 days. 58.7% cases of hospital infection occurred in 10 days after hospitalization. All patients were given antibiotics,32 of which were used more than 2 kinds. The cure rate was 47.8% and mortality was 8.7%. Forty patients were given invasive operation ,accounted for 87%. Twenty-two patients had the primary disease of nervous system with increasing trends. CONCLUSIONS Old,long-time hospitalization, invasive operation and abuse of antibiotics may be the risk factors of fungal hospital infection.
