Title: Clinical features of inpatients with combined nosocomial infection in department of orphthalmology
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To explore the characteristics of nosocomial infection of the inpatients in department of orphthalmology.METHODS A total of 42 patients'clinical data was retrospectively analyzed and the clinical data with the affected parts of the family and the pathogen outcomes were observed;at the same time,as a random choice1∶1 was the same period in hospital without an eye infection of the family of the people and study,two groups of the patient the hospital with the relevant factors differences.RESULTS Totally 42 patients were with nosocomial infection site:18 cases of acute conjunctivitis,endophthalmitis in 12 cases of respiratory infections 6 cases,surgical incision infection 4 cases,digestive system infection in 2 cases.23 strains of pathogenic microorganisms were detected from 32 cases of specimens,Gram-positive cocci 11 cases,Gram-negative bacilli 8 cases,fungi 4 cases.The nosocomial infection group had the clinical features,including the higher average age,combination with other diseases and higher proportion of prophylactic antibiotics,longer hospital stay and more invasive operation,the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).CONCLUSION The inpatients from department of orphthalmology are always combined with nosocomial infection and can not be completely avoided.It should adopt preventive measures in accordance with the clinical characteristics.
