Title: Clinical analysis of hospitalization related factors of infection among surgical oncology patients
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate the related factors of hospital infection among surgical oncology patients during hospitalization.METHODS A total of 247 patients with malignant tumor were selected from February 2008 to March 2011.Retrospective analysis was used for analyzing the relationship between infection site,infection pathogens,infection with age and duration of hospitalization.RESULTS The main pathogen for hospitalization infection was Gram-negative bacteria;The most common site of infection included lower respiratory tract,urinary tract and the gastrointestinal tract,and accounted for respectively 33.3%,24.2% and 18.2%.Along with the duration of hospitalization and patient age increases,the chance of infection significantly increased.The incidence of iatrogenic infection was caused by main factors for indwelling catheter and vein tube indwelling.CONCLUSION The cause for hospitalization infection tumor patients during general surgery is various,and these factors should be directed to take corresponding measures to prevent,reduce the occurrence of nosocomial infection.
