Title: Insulin resistance and lipid metabolism in the elderly patients with coronary heart disease
Abstract: Objective To investigate the changes of insulin resistance and blood lipids in the elderly patients with coronary heart disease.Methods The levels of blood lipids,glucose and insulin were measured in control group and the elderly patients with coronary heart disease.The comparison was then made between the two groups.Results Compared with control group,TC,TG,LDL C,ApoB were higher in the elderly patients with coronary heart disease(P0.01,P0.05),but HDL C,ApoA and insulin sensitivity index were decreased in the elderly patients with coronary heart disease(P0.01).Conclusion There were not only dislipidemia but insulin resistance in the elderly patients with coronary heart disease.
