Title: Expressions of C-Reactive Protein in Coronary Heart Disease Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Abstract: Objective To investigate the serum level of c-reactive protein(CRP) in coronary heart disease patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and its clinical significance. Methods The serum levels of CRP in the coronary heart disease patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(n=43),patients only with coronary heart disease(n=87) and normal subjects(n=55) were measured by the immune rate nephelometry. Results There was no different in age, body mass index(BMI) and blood lipid among the three groups(P0.05).The expression of CRP in patients with coronary heart disease was higher than that of normal subjects(P0.01),whereas it was significantly lower than that of the patients with coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus(P0.01).Conclusions The high expression of CRP may contribute to the occurring of fatal cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus.
