Title: The expression and clinical significance of Bcl-2 and survivin in the tissue of gastric cancer
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of apoptosis inhibitor gene Bcl-2,Survivin in human gastric carcinoma and to study their relationship to the biological behavior off the tumor. Methods Using immunohistochemical staining method, the expression of Bcl-2,Survivin genes were examined in 20 cases of chronic gastritis and 40 cases of gastric carcinoma,40 cases normal tissue of adjacent to cancer.Results(1) The positive expression rate of Bcl-2,Survivin in gastric carcinoma tissue was higher than the cancer side normal tissue and chronic gastritis(P0.05).The positive rate of Bcl-2 is related with local lymph node metastasis. The expression of Survivin had significant correlation with TNM classification, lymph node metastasis(P0.05).(2) There was significant association between survivin expression and that of Bcl-2.Conclusion(1) Bcl-2 and Survivin are over-expressed in gastric carcinoma;(2) The expression of Survivin in gastric cancer is positively correlated with the expression of Bcl-2.
