Title: Expressions of VEGF and MVD in lung cancer and their clinical significances
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the correlations of expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in lung cancer tissues and microvascular density (MVD) with various clinicopathological parameters in lung cancer. Methods Streptaridin peroxidase (SP) immunohistochemistry was used to detected the expressions of VEGF and MVD in 82 lung cancer tissues, all the patients did not be treated with antitumor therapy before operation. Results ①The expressions of MVD in lung cancer tissues had correlations with the lymph node metastasis and the clinical stage (P0.05). ②VEGF mainly expressed in the cytoplasm and cell membrane, had correlations with lymph node metastasis and the clinical stage (P0.05). ③There was a correlation between MVD and expression of VEGF in lung cancer (P0.05). Conclusion VEGF can improve the neovascularization, VEGF expression has the positive correlation with the occurrence of lung cancer,VEGF and MVD have became the important criteria to judge the tumor′s biological behaviors.
