Title: Synthesis of isoamyl salicylate by catalytic action of ionic liquid doped polyaniline
Abstract: Isoamyl salicylate was synthesized from salicylic acid and isoamyl alcohol with ionic liquid HSO4 doped polyaniline(PAn-HSO4) as catalyst.The catalyst was prepared from polyaniline and ionic liquidHSO4.Doping ratio(mass fraction) of the ionic liquid is 14.2%.Factors that influencing the product yield were investigated and optimum reaction conditions were obtained by orthogonal experiment.Results showed that under optimal conditions:n(salicylic acid)∶ n(isoamyl alcohol)=1∶ 6;dosage of the catalyst PAn-HSO4 6%(mass);dosage of water stripping agent cyclohexane 40%;and reaction time 3 h;yield and purity of isoamyl salkylate achieves 93.52% and 99.0% respectively.After the catalyst was reused for 7 times,yield of isoamyl salicylate is still higher than 90.0%.
