Title: The synthesis of isoamyl acetate by the H_2O_2/H_2SO_4 modification coal activated carbon as a catalyst
Abstract: Isoamyl acetate was synthesized from acetic acid and isoamyl alcohol, using modified active carbon as the catalyst. The influences of reaction conditions on the esterification rate were investigated. The optimum reaction condition were obtained as follows:the molar ratio of acetic acid to isoamylol 1:1.5,the amount of catalyst 12.5%, reaction temperature 126~130℃,reaction time 3.0 h.The experiment shows that the catalytic activity of the catalyst is very high.Under the best conditions, the esterification rate of over 98.9%was attained.
