Title: Study on Expression of p21,nm23 Proteins and Bladder Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between the exression of the oncogene and anticogene of bladder carcinoma and its biological characteristic. Methods The expression of p21,nm23 protein in 48 cases of transitional cell carcinoma of bladder was determined with immunohistochemistry. Results The positive rates of expression for p21,nm23 protein were 58 3%,41 7%.The positive rate of expression of p21 was positively correlated to pathological grade, clinical stage and recurrence. The positive rate of expression of nm23 was positively correlated to pathological grade and negatively correlated to clinical stage and recurrence. There was 68 7% expression in one or two oncogenes and (or) antioncogenes. Both oncogene and antioncoge common expression was found in 37 5%.Conclusion Abnormal expression and synergistic action of oncogene and antioncogene play an important role in occurrence and development of bladder carcinoma.
