Title: EXPRESSION OF P21,P53 AND nm23 PROTEINS IN BLADDER CARCINOMA AND ITS CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Abstract: Objective:To explore the relationship between the expression of the oncogenes and antioncogenes of bladder carcinoma and its biological characteristic. Methods:The expression of P21?P53 and nm23 proteins in 48 cases of transitional cell carcinoma of bladder was determined with immunohistochemistry. Results:The positive rates of expression for P21,P53 and nm23 proteins were 58.3%,47.9% and 41.7% respectively. The positive rates of expression of P21 and P53 were positively correlated to pathological grade, clinical stage and recurrence. The positive rate of expression of nm23 was positively correlated to pathological grade and negatively correlated to clinical stage and recurrence. There was 77.1% expression in one or more oncogenes and (or) antioncogenes.Multiple oncogene and (or)antioncoge common expression was found in 47.9%.Conclusion:Abnormal expression and synergistic action of oncogenes and antioncogenes play an important role in occurrence and development of bladder carcinoma.
