Title: Expression of VEGF and E-cadherin in Non-small-cell Lung Cancer
Abstract: Objective To determined the expression of VEGF,E cadherin in non small cell lung cancer. Methods VEGF,E cadherin were detected respectively in 90 cases of NSCLC with immunohistochemical staining SABC method. All the samples were routinely fixed in formalin, embedded with paraffin. The data were analyzed statistically. Results The positive rates of VEGF and E cadherin were 70% and 52 2%,respectively.The expression rates of E cadherin was associated with PTNM stage, lympha node metastasis, the degree of histological differentiation and prognosis of NSCLC, P 0 05.The expressions of VEGF and E cadherin were not significantly related with histopathelogic type, P 0 05.There was correlation between VEGF and E cadherin expressions. Conclusions Higher expression of VEGF indicates that VEGF may be an important factor of angiogenesis in NSCLC.Higher expression of VEGF and lower expression of E cadherin indicate a tend to development and metastasis in NSCLC.
