Title: The efficacy and safety of combined clopidogrel and aspirin therapy for unstable angina pectoris
Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect and safety of the combined therapy of clopidogrel and aspirin in patients with unstable angina pectoris(UA).Methods 146 patients with UA,al undergoing standard treatment(with aspirin, low molecular heparin, nitrate and β receptor blocker),were randomly divided into a test group(n=74) and a control group(n=72).The test group were administered a course of additional clopidogrel(priming dose 300 mg,daily dose 75 mg).The results were compared four weeks later. Results Evaluation of symptomatic relief and improvement of ST depression on ECG justified that the rate of effectiveness was 86.8% and 65.3% for the test group and the control group respectively. The difference was significant(P0.05).No severe adverse effects were found in either group. Conclusion The treatment with combined clopidogrel and aspirin is superior to the conventional therapy containing aspirin alone for unstable angina pectoris.
