Title: Comparative study on Fosinoprill and Felodipine converting left ventricular myocardial hypertrophy in essential hypentensive patients
Abstract: Objective To observe the effects of conversal of Fosinoprill and Felodipine on left ventricular myocardial hypertrophy in essential hypertension(EH).Methods 104 EH patients with ventricular myocardial hypertrophy were randomly divided into Fosinoprill group and Felodipine group. Before administration and at 6th month 12th month and 24th month after administration,we measured respectively left ventricular diastolic diameter(LVDd),interventricular septal thick(IVST),left ventricular posterior wall thick(LVPWT),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),cardiac output(CO)and A peak/E peak ratio(A/E ratio). Results Before and after treatment,LVEF and CO of two groups did not change. But A/E ratio of two groups was significantly decreased.Left ventricular mass index(LVMI),LVDd,IVST and LVPWT were decreased remarkably in Fosinoprill group. But they did not change significantly in Felodipine group. Conclusions Fosinoprill and Felodipine may improve left ventricular diastolic function.Only Fosinoprill may significantly reduce left ventricular myocardial hypertrophy.
