Title: Clinical Observation of Pidotimod and Low Doses of Glucocorticoid in the Treatment of 80 Children with Mycoplasma Pneumonia
Abstract: Objective:To explore the clinical effect of pidotimod and low doses of glucocorticoid in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children.Method:80 children with mycoplasma pneumonia who were treated in our hospital from 2011 to 2013 were selected, they were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sequential therapy of azithromycin. The treatment group was treated with pidotimod and low doses of glucocorticoid on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the changes of clinical symptoms disappeared time and inflammatory indexes before and after treatment between the two groups were observed and compared.Result:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.0%,it was significantly higher than the control group(75.0%),the fever, cough disappeared time and pulmonary rales disappearance time of the treatment group were significantly less than the control group, and C reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate and peripheral blood neutrophils of the treatment group after treatment were significantly higher than before treatment and the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:Pidotimod and low doses of glucocorticoid in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia can effectively control the disease, shorten the hospitalization time.It shows significant clinical effect and is worthy of clinical promotion.
