Abstract:To evaluate the immunogenicity of outer member protein H(OmpH) of yak Pasteurella multocida,vaccines were prepared with the purified recombinant OmpH(rOmpH) of the P.multocida.Mice were hypodermically...To evaluate the immunogenicity of outer member protein H(OmpH) of yak Pasteurella multocida,vaccines were prepared with the purified recombinant OmpH(rOmpH) of the P.multocida.Mice were hypodermically immunized with the rOmpH vaccine and inactivated whole bacteria vaccine,with PBS as control.Sera were collected weekly from the mice and antibody responses were detected by indirect ELISA.The immunized mice were challenged with 2 LD50 P.multocida on day 9 after the third immunization to observe the protective efficacy.The results showed that 20% of the inactivated whole bacteria vaccine groups died after 30 h post-challenge,and 100% of the recombinant vaccine groups died after 30 h,and 100% of the PBS groups died after 24 h.The results showed that inactivated whole bacteria vaccine was shown to induce higher immune protection,but the rOmpH vaccine has lower immune protection.Read More
