Title: Expression of CD44 and nm23 in breast invasive ductal carcinoma and relationship to lymphatic metastasis
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of CD44 and nm23 and their relations to lymphnode metastasis in breast invasive ductal carcinoma. Methods The expression of CD44 and nm23 in 32 speciments of breast invasive ductal carcinoma tissues were detected by S-P immunohistochemistry method. Results The positive expression rate of CD44 and nm23 in the group with lymphatic metastasis was 66.7% and 26.7% resperctively; The positive expression rate of CD44 and nm23 in the group without lymphatic metastasis was 23.5% and 70.6% resperctively.Compared with the group without lymphatic metastasis, the expression of CD44 increased, but the expression of nm23 decreased, there was statistical significance(P0.05).There was no obvious correlation between CD44 and nm23(r=-0.210,P0.05).Conclusion There is direct correlation between lymphatic metastasis and the expression of CD44,and there is negative correlation between lymphatic metastasis and the expression of nm23.There is no obvious correlation between CD44 and nm23.
