METHODS: In a retrospective study,a total of 172 540 outpatient prescriptions in 2009 were randomly sampled for statistical analysis of the utilization of antibiotics. RESULTS: Antibiotics were prescribed in 90 720 (52. 28% ) of the total 172 540 prescriptions. The percentages of prescriptions prescribed 1,2 and 3 antibiotics were 69. 59% ,22. 34% and 8. 07% ,respectively. 8 219 (9. 06% ) prescriptions were nonstandard in writing and 7 738(8. 53% ) were irrational in drug use.
