Title: Correlation between three-dimensional color power angiography, MVD and VEGF expression in cervical carcinoma.
Abstract: Objective To study the correlation between vascular index(VI),vascular pattern, microvessels density(MVD)and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).Methods Totally 30 patients with chronic cervicitis,34 with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and 44 with cervical carcinoma were examined preoperatively with three-dimensional color power angiography(3D-CPA).The vascular pattern and VI of the cervix were determined.Immunochemistry(S-P technique)with CD34 and VEGF antibody were employed to detect MVD and VEGF expression in the histological samples postoperatively. The relationship between the parameters of 3D-CPA,MVD and VEGF expression was analyzed. Results MVD and VEGF expression increased gradually in the rank of chronic cervicitis,CIN and cervical carcinoma(P0.05).The MVD and VEGF expression level of gradeⅢ vascular were higher than those of gradeⅠ and Ⅱ(P0.01);VI was correlated to MVD and VEGF expression level(r=0.782,P0.01;rs=0.86,P0.01,respectively).Conclusion VI and vascular pattern are correlated to MVD and VEGF expression level.3D-CPA may reflect the condition of cervical vascularization.
