Abstract: THE AUTHOR REPORTS ON PREFERRED SYSTEMS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF STRESSES AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS. ON THE BASES OF EXAMPLES, THE INDIVIDUAL CALCULATION MODELS AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON DIFFERENT LOAD EFFECTS ARE EXAMINED. THE INDIVIDUAL ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES FOR FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS UNDER VERTICAL EVENLY DISTRIBUTED CIRCULAR SHAPED LOADING BOTH IN THE AXIS OF THE LOAD AND ALSO OUTSIDE THE LOAD AXIS ARE ASSEMBLED IN TABULAR FORM. MENTION IS MADE OF THE STRESS CALCULATIONS FOR STANDARDIZED PAVEMENTS AFTER JONES AND THE INFORMATION ON THE POSSIBILITIES WHICH EXIST TO CONVERT MULTI-LAYER HIGHWAY PAVEMENTS TO TWO LAYER SYSTEMS.
