Abstract: Making greater use of the latest information, technologies and services to improve the management of our nation's roads assets was the prime motivation for the establishment of a Technology Transfer program for Local Government at ARRB. Technology Transfer is a process of putting research into practice so that the benefits from research can be achieved. The paper outlines the Technology Transfer programs established by ARRB to serve Local Government across Australia, actions taken and results achieved to date. Programs developed are primarily aimed at ensuring that Local Government is able to obtain easy access to available research results and that additional research is carried out to meet specific needs or address emerging issues.
